TRAINING AND INFORMATION
Spa is a sector that is in continuous evolution and idea of experience, keyword of the concept itself, is the key to it and this unfulfilled quest characterizes this sector.
Whether it is for Spa creators or operators, the evolution in this sector is so fast and this at all levels of intervention that it has become evident that continuously training and remaining informed is not only a proof of quality but also of sustainability for their activity. In fact, whether it is regarding the treatment rituals, equipments, service, design of the place, etc., the consumers are more and more demanding and tend towards simplicity in order to give meaning to what is essential: well-being for being well.
Our management and coaching expert, Jean-Marc ORTEGA, gives you his expert advices about these issues in our special report on p. 72: "How to create and reproduce the best practices in a Spa".
Other major contribution of Spa is having awakened the reciprocity between modernity and tradition by enhancing the value of practices of well-being that might have fallen into disuse. This helps some countries in opening up by keeping the real value of their traditions as you will see in our article on p. 34, "Ayurveda: a futuristic market for the Spas".
We know this that the Spa is a new culture with extraordinary creative abundance that expresses itself especially at the level of place with the appearance of new sensational materials not to forget this surprising ability to reinvent the existing. Read the article written by our expert Alexia SARKIS, interior designer, who illustrates her remarks with constructions of Spas on p.54. And of course, as is the case in our different editions, we invite you to a journey of discovery in our pages through our favourites, our discoveries and our meetings… inspiring and inspired.
Lastly, I request you to note-down in your diaries for next session, the meeting that is a must:
The EUROPEAN SPA SUMMIT that will take place on the 3rd and 4th of October in Paris Villepinte in the framework of Spa & Institut fair. This European summit is meant for professionals working in the hotel industry and for project holders looking for concrete answers for the problems of creation and operation of Spas, to be discovered in detail on p. 28 and 29.The whole team of EMOTION SPA Magazine will be pleased to meet you there as well as in other fairs about which we will give more details in our Autumn issue dedicated to Spa creation.
Happy reading and… Enjoy your holidays.
