It all started at the beginning of the 1970's in Saint-Malo, Brittany. Jean Gedouin, a young, visionary entrepreneur, became fascinated by scientific research which demonstrated the benefits of seawater to the skin. He created PHYTOMER, thus marking the invention of marine cosmetics: A new form of skin care which harnessed the incredible diversity of the marine world to produce effective beauty treatments and solutions.
