During last two or three years you would have often heard people talk about it and you are wondering what does "Heat Experience" really mean. Of course, it's English and you know what Heat and Experience mean… evidently this is quite easy. In the context of a Spa, for most of us this term evokes a place where something extraordinary takes place and usually that is all that we know about it. And moreover, this is a very special area in a Spa that beats all records concerning the number of guests. Guided tour…
Maximum sensoriality and relaxation
Let us dare to replace the name of Heat Experience with Multi sensorial Area and it becomes possible for one to understand the pleasure that one feels in evolving in a thematic decor. This is a place where average temperature is 28°C and where we will rediscover the sensations, forgotten fragrances, emotions, thrills. A place where we can sit down and think or simply lie down and let our free spirit travel, dream, escape. All destinations are allowed.
Remember it is an important point that a multi sensorial zone can adapt itself according to all styles.
Everything or almost everything is allowed depending on the theme chosen by the architect or the decorator and according to the sensitivity of the Project Owner. Two hypothetical cases must be distinguished. The first and the easiest being the space to be created is part of a construction programme. By and large you start from zero. The designer submits his designs to the architect and research department. This whole plan is validated by the Project Owner and then put into action by the specialists. The second is somewhat more sensitive. A hotel is being renovated or a Spa is being constructed in an existing building and they wish to set up a Multi sensorial Area. We are going to discuss about this second possibility.
Sensorial pool
The first and most important question that one must ask oneself is whether one wishes to integrate a pool that we are going to call "sensorial pool". This water plan is not a swimming pool, it is not planned for swimming and it is not a "Jacuzzi" either. Its depth varies between 1.10 m and 1.30 m. It is a focus of action, jets, geysers, bubbling plates, water cannon, music, special lighting… Its equipments and complexity of form make it an element of the project that does not endure amateurishness. Moreover, one must plan surfaces that will be accessible for technical purposes and that is the least that can be said about the techniques involved. So, according to the budget measure carefully the impact of this little jewel in your area. In some cases, it is quite easy to find its place because the configuration of premises is favourable and in others one must sadly forget it.
After this stage, you must define the construction programme. It will depend on the space that you have. By way of indication, 25 or 26 m2 (this is the minimum excluding technical area) lets one plan an authentic and attractive layout, but over-all, you must still measure the size of your structure with regards to the estimated number of clients in the Spa as a whole.
Classical design of a Heat Experience
Classically speaking, here is what is recommended: a hammam with a fountain or activities so that it becomes something more than a "pressure cooker". A sauna where luminous ambiance and fr
