The international get-together of the spa industry, SPAMEETING Paris, will take place on 10th, 11th and 12th September 2012. With the SpaMatch concept, the edition this year exceptionally makes possible business meetings between French or international project holders and spa suppliers.
Santoshi Tuschak, Director of Integrative Wellness Concepts, is one of the representatives of Indian project holders attending the event who will take advantage of this formula. She will also participate in the SPAMEETING Middle East on 27th and 28th November 2012. She gives us her perception of spa trends in India, her plans and what she expects from SPAMEETING Paris:
What is your perception of spa trends in your region and what kind of trends are you looking for?
Spa trends in India : India is a vibrant , fast paced market that is growing at a feverish pitch. I am constantly on the look out for (a l’affut) the best slimming, toning, lifting, wrinkle removing (anti rides) and whitening systems.
How is Integrative Wellness Concepts positioned in relation to them?
The key accents in our Indian trends revolve around (tourne autour) youth, immediacy and a fusion of what the advances of technology offer interwoven with local natural ingredients that are unique to specific regions. Consumers demand immediately visible results and take home regimes that are bursting with Organic and Green consciousness. This has become a mantra here now, so Integrative Wellness Concepts is aware of all of these factors when creating concepts for spa treatments and formulating new products.
What type of projects are you currently working on?
We are currently creating a new concept for India’s most popular chain of skin clinics that will expand their market to include spa and express treatments. I am creating new menus of Signature treatments and products that will retail (vente au detail) in nearly one hundred of their outlets.
Considering your expectations, what recommendations / advice would you give to spa suppliers?
I exclusively work with suppliers that provide me with natural and ecocert ingredients, especially botanical and marine extracts. The movement towards consciousness of ingredients origins and natural and organic sources is one that suppliers can no longer afford to ignore, as this trend pervades all areas and segments of the market now and will only increase with time, becoming the gold standard of what is acceptable in the mind of the consumer.
What are you expecting from the Spameeting Paris meetings?
SpaMeeting Paris always offers cutting edge products, equipment and services. I expect to come back with the newest and best products, treatments and technologies to spark my imagination in what I provide for my clients.
