STEEL SPA DESIGN by STEEL AND STYLE
The first stainless steels appeared in the 70s; these are still being used today, especially in Austria. If they had a longer beginning in France where the tiled pool is the king, one must admit that the design of stainless steel pool has travelled a long way including in the field of public swimming pools (I will only talk about the Petit Port swimming pool in Nantes that has used the stainless steel solution for pools). The idea has gained ground in the field of Spa and today, it is receiving more and more attention at a time when the design and control of health risk, two ideas that one wrongly considered permanently at counter-purposes, combine through innovative equipments such as those developed by Steel and Style.

Benchmark know-how
Steel and Style, the new brand of France Designer Inox, is the result of a desire to diversify of STAI, a French company that has been working with stainless steel since over thirty years and specialises in the field of manufacturing of tanks for viticulture, Cosmetics, pharmacy and food processing industry. France Designer Inox was established in January 2008; the young company based in Bordeaux thus benefits from the experience of transformation of stainless steel and adds its own know-how in the field of design to it; the core of its profession is centred on the design and production of swimming-pools, pools and stainless steel Spas.

Why stainless steel?
The construction process of stainless steel pools calls upon the modules that are prefabricated in factories and assembled by continuous welding with Tungsten, either in the workshop or on site depending on the size of the pool. As a result, the stainless steel constructions have the advantage of perfect homogeneity of construction materials, reducing the problems related to imperviousness that the combination of two different materials can pose.
After this, thanks to its malleability, the stainless steel gives a lot of freedom in terms of design and forms and lets one push the limits of impossible in traditional tiles and concrete construction. It opens the possibility of making the pool evolve with time by making the task of carrying out the work of fitting-up or extension of pools easy and invisible.
The wellness universe is also that of multi-sensoriality; stainless steel is very soft to touch and holds the heat well. Its visual aspect can be very elegant and contemporary.
Lastly, an especially important point in an establishment that receives public, stainless steel, a non-porous material offers surfaces where algae and fungi can't hold, that allows better control of sanitary risks. As against the mosaic or floor tiles, the stainless steel pool has fewer joints that retain scale and biofilm, therefore, lesser risk of ill-timed microbiological development. Thanks to easy and fast cleaning of the pool, the stainless steel pool avoids the inappropriate use of harmful and dangerous products.
From ecological point of view, stainless steel is 100% recyclable, which limits the additional costs of disposal on land. It generates fewer wastes on the building-site in the setting-up phase and thus helps meet different HEQ goals.

"An especially important point in an establishment open to public,
stainless steel, a non-porous material, has surfaces
where it is impossible for algae and fungi to hold,
thanks to which the sanitary risks can be managed in a better way."

Spa - Steel and StyleA high-end range of products.
Mirror pools, overflowing pools, France Designer Inox proposes customised solutions. The reflection of pristine water on the walls and stainless steel floor create an unforeseen play of light with golden, emerald, purple reflections, changing all that we thought we knew about the aesthetic aspect of a pool. Thus, for example, we do not see the mark of lane rope and once again water becomes a natural and deep material in which one wants to dissolve.
But the most surprising material seems to be the overflowing spa that France Designer Inox has developed again under the aegis of its Steel and Style brand: a prestigious spa, with very innovative design and refined lines, combining noble materials like stainless steel with wood and glass.
An architectural design that is definitely modern, aerial lines magnified with stainless steel and glass, highlighted by wood, this rectangular spa can easily accommodate two persons on the ergonomical benches to enjoy a very relaxing hydro-massage. There are two models that one can choose from depending on the place where it will be set-up: one whose machinery is placed outside in the equipment room (ideal solution from our point of view), the other whose machinery is included in the two boxes located behind the spa. Steel and Style, it is also the possibility of customisation of the spa according to the harmony that one is looking for: colour of frames and lateral panels left for the client to choose from for a perfect integration with the interior decoration of the place, wooden or stainless steel duckboard, possibility to silkscreen print a logo, message or name on the glass walls...
Of course, these small jewels come at a price, starting from 28 000 € for an overflowing spa but the use of stainless steel is a proof of guarantee of strength, durability and hygiene. In addition to this, these are so beautiful that these become real decorative objects in themselves which, if correctly displayed, will give a soul to the place given that one has the means to buy these high-end equipments.
